How to Decease a Constituent Record
With update ability in GAIL you have the authority to mark constituents as deceased. This instruction guide will give you the step-by-step directions for doing so.
Deceasing Records
1. From the Personal Info tab select Mark Deceased on the individual’s record being processed.
2. Input the date of death
3. Select Unconfirmed from the Confirmation drop down menu
4. Select the appropriate source
5. Select Save
6. You will automatically be directed to a screen containing various Deceasing Options tabs.
Upon the decease confirmation, Records will complete the following tasks:
- Updating relationships
- End-dating interactions
- Removing joining name formats
