Why did you choose to attend UGA?
My decision to attend UGA was largely due to my nomination as a Stamps Foundation Fellow. Because of the Fellowship, attending UGA was the most financially wise decision to make for my undergraduate education since I plan to continue onto medical school, and the program provided more once-in-a-lifetime travels and experiences than I was offered at any other university.
What are your college career plans/aspirations?
I plan to major in Biology and minor (or possibly double major) in Spanish and hope to be fluent in the language by the time I graduate. I then plan to continue onto medical school and become a general pediatrician. I would love to put my skills to use, working with an organization such as Doctors without Borders.
What would you say as a thank-you message to the University’s generous donors who
financially support your UGA experience?
Thanks to your generosity, I now have the opportunity to visit countries many people only dream about and to be welcomed into a renowned community of people who will support me and offer assistance as I finally discover my true passion in life. None of this would be possible without you, and I am eternally grateful for all that you do.
What kind of difference would you like to make at UGA or in the world?
I would like to help introduce the extraordinary level of healthcare we enjoy in the United States to countries of people that are not so fortunate.

What has your scholarship meant to you or enabled you to do?
The Foundation Fellowship will allow me to travel, become a part of the world, see how my education can make a difference to others, connect with people who are just as driven and have wisdom to share with me, and to achieve my dreams.
