We are seeking the opportunity to represent the University of Georgia at the 2018 Association for Women in Sports Media conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. By attending this conference, our chapter members will have the opportunity to learn from and network with professionals across different fields of the sports media industry.
Our hope is to fund the registration and travel expenses for a diverse group of driven women from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. With your help, we can give more members the opportunity to attend.

Why This Project Matters
The UGA chapter of the Association for Women in Sports Media is new and funds are limited. The sports media certificate program at Grady is one of the premier programs in the country and it would be exciting to have current UGA students represented at the 2018 conference. Grady’s AWSM chapter gives our female students an opportunity to learn and excel in a traditionally male dominated field.
