About the Project

The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association embarked on a $25,000 fundraising campaign to support the University of Georgia’s presence in Washington, D.C.  Generous support quickly allowed the chapter to reach its first goal and the total was raised to $35,000.

UGA alumni, friends and family members are still invited to participate in this special campaign to contribute to the success of the University of Georgia’s Washington Programs and Delta Hall, UGA’s residential facility, in the capital.

Whether you interned in D.C., moved there as a young professional, or built a life and career in our nation’s capital, UGA provided you with the foundation to make it possible. This campaign has ended, but you can still be the key to continued success for UGA in Washington and show your support. Give now!

Delta Hall, UGA’s residential facility in Washington, D.C.

UGA’s new facility, purchased by the UGA Foundation in 2013, has undergone extensive renovations to transform the 20,000-square-foot space from a commercial office building to a residence hall and learning community. The renovated building provides living quarters, classrooms and study space for UGA students and faculty who participate in UGA’s experiential learning programs in the nation’s capital. Named to recognize the significant support of Delta Air Lines for the facility and its use, Delta Hall is located on Massachusetts Avenue in the heart of Capitol Hill. The inaugural class of students moved into the house in January 2015.

UGA has a long history of promoting and sponsoring internships in Washington, D.C. The Washington Semester Program and the Honors in Washington Program, along with several schools and colleges, have offered opportunities for students to intern and study in the nation’s capital for more than a decade.
