The University of Georgia Career Center, in partnership with JCPenney, will be hosting Dawgs Suit Up on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 6:30pm – 10:00pm. The purpose of this event is to offer students professional attire at deeply discounted rates. JCPenney will offer a 70% discount on select professional attire during the event for all UGA students. The UGA Career Center is also providing need-based scholarships for students who apply.

Why This Project Matters
The University of Georgia is committed to developing new initiatives to provide need-based aid opportunities for students. In addition to tuition assistance, UGA currently offers food scholarships, a food pantry and a hygiene closet to help alleviate some of the financial burden. Along the same lines, assisting with obtaining professional dress need for career fairs, networking events, interviews and the working world is also a priority. A $200 Dawgs Suit Up Scholarship will allow students to attend, shop and receive professional clothing completely free of charge.
