CALLING ALL FACS DAWGS FOR 5 DAYS OF IMPACT

Our goal is at least 75 gifts to the new FACS Student Emergency Fund!

Over the last two years, UGA has seen a substantial increase in the number of emergency financial requests- which is straining the current resources offered by the university’s Office of Student Care and Outreach. The need among FACS students specifically has increased significantly, and they are forced to compete with the entire UGA student population for much-needed assistance.

The new FACS Student Emergency Fund makes assistance available directly, and only, to FACS students.

We established the FACS Student Emergency Fund to help us respond quickly and effectively when students are in crisis. It will offer one-time financial assistance to FACS students experiencing temporary hardship to meet immediate, essential expenses.

Your support, no matter the amount, can make a world of difference to students unable to cover expenses such as an unexpectedly high utility bill, car repair, or physical or mental health incident. Let’s pay it forward and show our newest generation what being a FACS Dawg is all about!
