FIGHT FOOD INSECURITY FOR OUR STUDENTS. HELP FILL THE HEALTH SCIENCES CAMPUS (HSC) FOOD PANTRY!

While there is a thriving food pantry on the main UGA campus, it’s difficult for many of our students to travel across town to access it during operating hours. So in 2020, the College of Public Health Epidemiology and Biostatistics Department stepped up and created the HSC Food Pantry to serve all UGA students- but specifically those who spend most of their time in our little corner of Athens.

Over the past year we’ve received warmhearted support from our campus community through food drives and spontaneous donations, but the current needs of our students are outweighing inventory.

We need a steady pipeline for spending to ensure the pantry stays full. So we’re asking each and every CPH Dawg to join the HSC Food Pantry Campaign!

OUR GOAL: $3,000 to stock the pantry with dry goods, frozen foods, and basic hygiene products for a full year!

Now more than ever, we’re in a place to serve our students in a direct meaningful way. With the help of CPH Alumni Board VP Kim Metcalf, we secured a freezer to expand the selection and shelf life of HSC Food Pantry products. You can help provide complete nutritious meals and offer support to struggling students with just a few dollars!
