Clovers and Company Cast 2014-2015. "Compass"

Clovers and Company Cast 2014-2015. “Compass”

The premier performing arts group for Georgia 4-H has a 35 year old history of excellence representing 4-H, UGA, the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, and the Cooperative Extension Service.   Remarkably, some of the equipment used by the performers is perhaps just as old.   Help Clovers and Company replace the current microphones and sound board with more reliable equipment and ensure that these talented voices of Georgia 4-Hers are presented in the professional quality they deserve.

The Project

We’ve updated our goal!   Thanks to the early generosity of our donors and a better scope of our sound improvement needs, we now have expectations to invest in a completely digital system which will position Clovers & Co. for years to come. A total overhaul of the current sound system is estimated to cost up to $20,000.  With new commitments and resources already in hand, half of that goal is secured.  An additional $8,000-$10,000 from alumni, parents and friends of Georgia 4-H’s Clovers & Co. will enable the initial purchases for phased improvements toward a modern, wireless, mobile sound system which is reliable in a variety of indoor and outdoor performance venues.  The goal is a total replacement of the current equipment–enhancing the group’s sound and providing an opportunity for the cast members to learn performance skills using the highest quality stage equipment.

About Clovers & Co.

The 2014-2015 Clovers and Co. cast at the Georgia National Fair shows in Perry.

The 2014-2015 Clovers and Co. cast at the Georgia National Fair shows in Perry.

Featuring performers from across the State of Georgia, Clovers & Co. is the auditioned performing arts group of Georgia 4-H.  Cast members are singers, dancers, instrumentalists and stage production crew ranging in ages from 9 to 19.  The show and cast changes annually with an audition process drawing hundreds of Georgia’s best young talent, and the selected 40-50 cast members represent Georgia 4-H in a stage show featuring a variety of music all sung and accompanied by the 4-Hers themselves.  Performances are primarily for audiences around the state and also include special invitations to travel out of state to showcase Georgia’s program.   Coordinated through the State 4-H Office at UGA, Clovers and Company is produced by a team of dedicated volunteers — many of whom are alumni of the program.
