The fall is always a special time at the University of Georgia. As the weather starts to cool and the leaves begin to change, UGA celebrates the start of a new school year and campus buzzes with activity. Come get a feel for life at UGA by participating in one of the many family-friendly events at the university this fall. Read on for advice on planning your next trip to UGA.

Come cheer on the Dawgs

Find team schedules and purchase tickets for all of UGA’s exciting sporting events on the UGA Athletic Association website. If you are interested in attending a UGA football game this fall, single game tickets for the 2016 season will go on sale in July. Before game day, be sure to visit the UGA Gameday website for parking information, tailgating dos and don’ts, and more helpful tips to have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Experience something new

Fall is a time for students to get involved on campus and explore all the great things the University of Georgia has to offer. We invite you to do the same! Whether it is a concert at the Performing Arts Center or an exhibition at the Georgia Museum of Art, lectures by our renowned faculty and staff or a tour of the Special Collections Library, parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend UGA events. Check the UGA Master Calendar throughout the year to help you plan your visit.

Explore the “Classic City of the South”

Athens is the quintessential college town and one of the many things that makes life at UGA so unique. With eclectic galleries and boutiques, historic homes, world-famous music venues and outstanding restaurants, there is always something new and exciting to explore in the Classic City. The Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau website is a wonderful resource for hotels, restaurants, transportation services, events, tours and other advice on what to do and see around town.

Get involved

The Parents Leadership Council is a group of highly engaged parents who are eager to be involved on campus and make a direct impact on undergraduate student life. A primary focus of the Parents Leadership Council is to support the Parents and Families Grants Program. Through their financial commitment of $2500 or more annually, they are able to administer and award financial assistance where it is most needed, to fund scholarships, support important departments on campus and financially assist registered student organizations. The Parent Leadership Council meets twice a year for a fall and spring weekend. Visit the UGA Parents Leadership Council website for more information and to make your contribution.

We hope to see you soon at the University of Georgia!
