Welcome Letter from the Chair

It is an honor to offer remarks on behalf of the University of Georgia Foundation, an organization that for 78 years has dedicated its efforts to supporting and enhancing the University's academic mission.

Our board is comprised of business, civic, academic, and philanthropic leaders who volunteer their time and resources in an effort to strengthen the University of Georgia's position as one of the nation's greatest institutions of higher education.

We are privileged to work closely with President Jere W. Morehead as he shapes a vision of UGA in which students learn in a world-class academic environment and graduate with the knowledge and abilities to be successful as alumni.

As Trustees of the University of Georgia Foundation, we share the President's vision and have increased our efforts to support the University's development staff by helping to identify potential sources of new private funding and by assisting in securing gifts. After two consecutive years of record fundraising, it's clear that there is tremendous excitement and momentum. Our Trustees remain ready to assist in this effort when called upon.

Equally important is our continued stewardship of donor funds that enables the University to realize the maximum benefit of each gift and to secure an enduring, bright future for the institution.

To our donors, words cannot express the depth of our gratitude. Your steadfast support, in both good times and bad, has made an immeasurable impact on the lives of our students, our faculty, and our graduates.
