Ready, Set, Give: Grady Giving Day 2016

About the Project

Are you ready to make history? To celebrate Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication’s birthday, we are trying to create the single largest day of giving in the College’s lifetime. Join the movement and show your Grady pride by making a gift on June 13th, 2016. Our goal is to get 101 gifts for our 101st birthday in just 24 hours. It doesn’t matter if you donate $5 or $500 – we just want to acquire as many gifts as we can and increase our percentage of alumni giving. Why This Project Matters

We had an action-packed centennial year, but now it’s time to keep the excitement going.  Great things happen every day at Grady, and we want to offer you the opportunity to celebrate by giving us a gift on this special day.  Grady Giving Day is fun, fast-paced, and has a big impact.  On June 13th, take a moment to remember why you loved your time at Grady and what it has given you professionally and personally.  Then, make your gift and enjoy knowing you are building the Georgia Fund for Grady to new highs and making that experience possible for others.

Your Gifts At Work:

  • 36 gifts of $25 pays for a bus to send a group of Grady students to Atlanta for the day where they will tour workplaces, network with alumni and friends, and perhaps take the first steps towards an internship or job.
  • 20 gifts of $50 provides a full scholarship for a Grady Student to spend their Maymester studying and learning in New York City.
  • 50 gifts of $100 supplies a full scholarship for a student to attend the Cannes Film Festival in France, where Grady students are the only group of college students from the United States meeting top professionals in the entertainment industry.
  • 8 gifts of $250 covers the costs of a professional-in-residence that can teach Grady students skills straight from the field, giving them unique experiences that are advantageous upon graduation.
