The University of Georgia is proud to have students who work each day to connect alumni with fundraising causes across the university. Students engage with alumni, parents and friends on behalf of the University of Georgia’s initiatives as well as school and college academic priorities.

UGA student representatives recognize the value the UGA calling experience offers as personal career growth. Many former student employees work in higher education fundraising careers or with corporate groups partnering with universities and colleges in academic fundraising.

Most memorable call?

“My most memorable call would have to be speaking to a woman who attended in the 60s and told me about how she protested with others by sleeping in the dean’s office to change the rule that only males were allowed outside the dorms after 10 p.m.” – Alyssa Adams ‘21

“My most memorable call was with a professor at LSU and she initially didn’t intend on giving, but she said my presence and tone compelled her to donate. It was one the most reassuring and gratifying experiences I’ve had because it signified to me the change and impact of my role as a student representative.” – Alusine Fofanah ‘22

“My most memorable call was with a family. I called their father and the daughter answered. She asked me about walking through the Arch and told me how badly she wanted to attend this university. To know that I was living someone’s dream really inspired me to work harder. Her father donated and promised to help get his 6-year-old daughter on the right path to this university.
