Congratulations on receiving private scholarship support! Private support is essential to the University of Georgia. Think about your favorite professors, campus facilities, and programs. Many of these things are made possible through the support of generous donors!

Our donors love hearing from their student recipients. Please take a moment to share about your experience and write a thank you message to your scholarship donor for this academic year. You will also have the option to upload a photo/headshot of your choice.

The University of Georgia Scholarship Information Release

The University of Georgia depends on the generosity of scholarship donors who believe in the value of a UGA education. Many donors appreciate hearing directly from the students who benefit from their scholarships. This communication and interaction helps donors understand the positive impact of their generosity.

In order for us to share information about you with your scholarship donors and include your thank you message, we ask your permission to share the following confidential/personal information:

• Your name
• Hometown and state
• Intended major/major/degree
• Expected graduation
• Gratitude questionnaire response
• Photograph

In order to provide your donor or donor representative with the above information during the 2026–2027 academic year, we ask that you agree to the terms of this Scholarship Information Release Form by selecting "I consent" and signing below.

If you do not wish to release your information, please select "I do not consent" and sign below. By selecting "I do not consent," no information will be released and you will not be able to say thanks during the academic year unless a new release is completed.

FERPA & HEA Notice

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Higher Education Act (HEA) requires student consent to disclose personal and educational information to any individual. Federal statute and regulations require a student's consent if personally-identifiable information (PII) is to be released to a scholarship donor, a third party, other members of the university, or general public. You are not required to provide consent to release your information or to participate at all in this request. However, to participate in saying thanks to your donor, meeting your donor, or any other interaction with your donor requires a release of your information. If at any time you would like to rescind your consent or have any other questions about this request, please email ude.agu@renra.yelah.

Tips for selecting your photo:

1. Print-quality photos are at least 1–2 MB.
   • Please be mindful of this when uploading your image.
2. Use a vertical photo.
   • Horizontal or landscape photos will need to be cropped.
3. Your photo could be a head shot, a picture of you participating in a UGA activity, or somewhere on campus.
   • Remember you are a representative of the University of Georgia!
4. Please upload the original image.
   • Do not screenshot an image from Facebook or Instagram.
   • Do not use an image that includes frames or overlays.
5. Avoid submitting a group photo — your donor won't know who you are!
   • If you do need to use a group photo, please mention in your note who you are (e.g., “second person from the left”).
