Lauren is an Athens native who graduated with a BFA in painting from UGA in 2010. Lauren first dipped her toes in the world of development as a student worker for Research and Prospect Management. In 2012, Lauren began her career at UGA with the Office of Student Financial Aid as a financial aid counselor for state and institutional scholarships. After almost three years of working in scholarship recipient administration, she returned to development to take on scholarship stewardship. Lauren works with campus partners to ensure that scholarships are awarded correctly and timeline, assists donors with questions pertaining to their fund or recipients, and collects thankful messages from recipients to their donor representatives. In addition to scholarship stewardship, Lauren also manages UGA’s ThankView license, which allows communicators campus-wide to send individualized video messages to UGA’s friends and donors. Lauren is an active board member for the Friends of the Georgia Museum of Art, and she loves to read, antique, and explore all that Athens has to offer with her husband Matt and son Ryan.
