What: UGA Intern For A Day

Why: The UGA Intern For A Day program is the Career Center’s job shadowing initiative to connect students with real-world industry experience. Students will have the opportunity to network with employers, explore a career path, and connect classroom learning to industry trends. Employers connect with UGA talent directly and build a more personal connection while building brand awareness on campus.

Overview
In the Fall of 2025, the UGA Career Center launched the online platform for the UGA Intern For A Day program. In the platform, employers post their job shadowing opportunities, and students apply directly to the postings that align with their interests. This has resulted in higher-quality matches between employers and students and the ability to scale the program to serve a larger audience. To learn more, visit mentor.uga.edu/programs/ifad.
How you can help
- Use the materials in this toolkit to help promote Intern For A Day on your school/college/unit and/or personal accounts.
- Share content from Career Center socials (@ugacareercenter on Instagram and UGA Career Center on LinkedIn) and UGA Alumni Association social media handles.
