“Advancement IT” is a broad term because it encompasses the work of eight unique teams: Analytics & Reporting, Application Support, Client Services, Constituent Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Technology Support, Applications and Integrations, and Infrastructure and Security.
We spend our time managing the Giving and Alumni Information Link (GAIL), the UGA Foundation Financial system (FAME), providing training and consulting, producing custom data reports and extracts, developing custom applications and integrations, building data visualizations, offering business and data analytics, crafting mailing lists, assisting with communication efforts, and maintaining more than 1.2 million constituent records. Meanwhile, we manage websites, web farms, networks, phones, copiers, printers, endpoints, user access rights, audio/video, enterprise storage and services, and keeping hardware and software up to date, all while ensuring security and compliance remain a priority for the division.
