Heritage Society Tailgate

The Office of Gift and Estate Planning hosted its third annual Heritage Society Tailgate on November 5, 2022, prior to the UGA vs. Tennessee football game. The invitation-only event welcomed more than 130 Heritage Society members to campus near the Miller Learning Center.

Planned giving stewardship can get put on the back burner once the gift has closed since it can be difficult to maintain relationships across decades.

When a DAR unit hosts events, the Office of Gift and Estate Planning encourages them to make it a regular practice to include planned giving donors. A simple invitation to an event or an annual thank you note can aid in maintaining meaningful relationships with planned giving donors.
