We work with absolutely incredible people—and we all have varied interests and experiences, which adds to the unique makeup of the University of Georgia. We’ll be regularly spotlighting a few rock stars from around the division so that even if you don’t cross paths with them in the break room or Zoom with them on a weekly basis, you can get to know colleagues who can enhance your work life and productivity.

  • I have a fundraising focus on Georgia Women Give, a new initiative to elevate women’s philanthropy at UGA.
  • What might people not know about your job? Relationships matter, timing is everything and share your joy with others.

Time in DAR: 29 years. November 1 will be 30 years.

Where did you grow up: Valdosta, Georgia

What is your favorite reason for working for UGA/DAR? Working with alumni has been amazing!

Work project you’ve been most proud participating in: There are a lot … Olympics, annual giving campaigns and now Georgia Women Give.

What is your favorite spot in Athens to grab lunch? Taqueria del Sol

Tell us about your family … My husband, John, works at UGA in athletics, so we spend a lot of time at UGA athletic events.

On a typical Saturday evening, you can find me … At a sporting event.

No. 1 tip for someone just joining DAR: Enjoy making connections with colleagues … at UGA and within the SEC.

Lately, I’ve been watching … The Atlanta Braves!

Something you might not know about me is … I have Kathy Bangle to thank for introducing me to John. She set us up–it’s now been 27 years!

My dream vacation (cost and time aside) is to visit … Mackinac Island, Michigan
