How we connected Andy Warhol to UGA

Ok, so it’s not Andy Warhol himself, obviously, but The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts recently made a $60,000 grant to support Athenaeum—the first grant from the Warhol Foundation to UGA—and Foundation Relations was thrilled to be a part of the process!

I worked with Katie Geha on this, and she was a fabulous partner. Katie had applied for a Warhol Foundation grant several times in the past, but this year she enlisted the Foundation Relations team and Kate Arnold at the Lamar Dodd School of Art to help out—and we got it!

It was truly a group effort with Kate, Katie and I and a perfect example of what we in Foundation Relations love to do: collaborate with units to help their faculty, staff and students get everything they need to realize their fullest potential.
