February ’24 DAR Star: Graff Wilson

We work with absolutely incredible people—and we all have varied interests and experiences, which adds to the unique makeup of the University of Georgia. We’ll be regularly spotlighting a few rock stars from around the division so that even if you don’t cross paths with them in the break room or Zoom with them on a weekly basis, you can get to know colleagues who can enhance your work life and productivity.

Without further ado, please enjoy our Q&A with Graff Wilson…

Name: Graff Wilson

Title: Development Coordinator, Office of Instruction

  • I work to support stewardship and fundraising efforts within the Office of Instruction! The Office of Instruction is home to Admissions, Financial Aid, and Experiential Learning, among many other excellent units. I get to learn about and support all of these amazing initiatives.
  • What might people not know about your job? Firstly, I am always happy to collaborate on any project! Second, there are some complex areas within instruction, but we are always happy to answer any questions that come up! Finally, there are 19 Units within the Office of Instruction, and no student at UGA will leave without interacting with at least one of our units, often several of them!

Where can we find you?

Time in DAR: Since May 2023, and prior to that, I joined UGA in July 2020 as the Coordinator for the ALL Georgia Program.

Favorite part of working for UGA/DAR:I love the opportunity to work collaboratively with DAR and the Office of Instruction. I get to work with so many kind and talented people in both offices that make the job so incredible. I also feel so fortunate to work for a place that I truly believe in, and to be able to support students who will go on to shape the world around them.

On a typical Saturday evening, you can find me: Reading a book or watching college football.

Favorite spot in Athens to grab lunch: The Place!

Tell us about your family… My wife and I have two amazing dogs that we share our home with! Molson is our 6-year-old Australian Shepherd and Woodford is our 3-year-old Golden Retriever. The two of them make sure there’s always something happening!
