We’ll be regularly spotlighting a few rock stars from around the division so that even if you don’t cross paths with them in the break room or Zoom with them on a weekly basis, you can get to know colleagues who can enhance your work life and productivity.
Without further ado, please enjoy our Q&A with Brian Strickland …
Name: Brian Strickland
Title: Associate Director of Human Resources Data and Analytics, Finance and Human Resources
- I support Human Resources and Talent Management in a variety of ways. I have a background in compensation and provide salary analysis for job offers, promotions, and market adjustments. I also work on various projects as needed, including career laddering/career pathing and performance evaluations.
- What might people not know about your job? The only thing I wish people knew about my job is that there are additional levels of approval from the University HR team needed for changes to organizational or pay structure. This can be challenging to navigate when trying to implement initiatives for our organization in a timely manner, but necessary to ensure consistency across the University.
